jiu-jitsu classes will help you to get in shape as well as heighten one’s ability to defend him or herself.
In Dave Camarillo school of jiu-jitsu, you will learn to employ the opponent's force than using your own force to confront it.
The technique of jiu-jitsu focusses on a holistic approach of grappling. Guerilla
jiu-jitsu classes combine the techniques and concepts from brazilian
jiu-jitsu, judo, wrestling, and self-defense.
Guerilla jiu-jitsu is designed to equalize the size disparity of opponents, and in our
classes you will learn primarily a non-striking art that provides the practitioner the tools to defend him or herself against opponents of all sizes.
All men and women can benefit from learning
jiu-jitsu.
Danny Bohigian began training Guerrilla Jiu-Jitsu in April, 2006, under Dave Camarillo. He earned his brown belt from Dave in November of 2011. Now training mainly out of Guerrilla Jiu-Jitsu HQ in Pleasanton, Danny currently teaches full time in Pleasanton. A recent college graduate, Danny holds a bachelors degree in philosophy from San Jose State University. As a guitar player for over 12 years, Danny feels his studies in philosophy teamed with his dedication to music and Guerrilla Jiu-Jitsu have made him sensitive to the importance of detail and disciplined practice and training in order to maximize potential while engaged in the fulfilling martial art that is Guerrilla Jiu-Jitsu. Danny feels that a strong, caring community within the academy is essential to personal and team success. Danny also stresses the importance of physical conditioning as a means to facilitating performance during training, teaching, competition, and life in general.
